Venue Notes

× One of the greatest conductors of all-time, George Szell, music director of the Cleveland Orchestra from 1946-1970, pronounced the Troy Music Hall an acoustical wonder. Maestro Szell proclaimed, “I never really heard my own orchestra until I played in the Music Hall.” This is one of the world’s great concert halls, a remarkable room in which to hear the Albany Symphony. The sound is rich, powerful and voluptuous; you can feel the room vibrate like a fine string instrument. This legendary hall is truly “alive” with the sound of music!
